Nostalgia hits hard on this one. Yesterday is the newest lager to grace our ever-growing lineup, and it is inspired by the Czech half-dark (polotmavĂ˝) lager. This garnet-colored beauty is brewed with all Bohemian malt and Czech hops. For those long-time craft beer drinkers, you'll be hit with those biscuity, bready, toffee high notes that intrigued so many palates decades ago, but with a clean and cool fermentation you'll be left with something that is highly drinkable, subtly bitter, and in balance with today's world. With the onset of winter, this beer is exactly what you need right now.

Pours amber in color with a clear transparency. Head is three fingers of off-white / tan foam. Aroma is toast and caramel initially, followed up by bread and fig. It features a pop of malt, but not overly dry. A sly bit of toffee works its way into the aroma as the beer warms. Flavor profile is toast, caramel, and bread (especially at the end.) Spicy and herbal hops work alongside fig, and mild molasses to wrap things up. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is crispy with a fuzzy start. Texture is refreshing. Overall, a great lager with some good malt qualities. It is a departure from the normal crispy pale lagers from Alma Mader, affording a little extra flavor without losing the quintessential dryness or level of refreshness associated with their lagers.
