Pours black with a dense two fingers of mocha colored foam. Oil is evident around the edges from the pour. Aroma is thick roasty and toasty malts with immediate vanilla adding sweetness. Nutty malts sit behind, alongside caramel, brownies, and minor fudge. Barrel adds some great char to the nose. Flavor profile is vanilla and pistachio intertwined. Roasty and toasty malts support brownie batter, fudge, and dark chocolate. Finishes on vanilla and pistachio. Mouth feel is thick. Texture is velvety and filling. Overall, great depth, delivering heavy doses of vanilla and pistachio - which pair up so wonderfully. Rich stout underneath.
