For this new West Coaster, we dove into the depths of dankness. Canyon Call is inspired by recent travels and bringing together hops that are typically a bit outside of our normal blends (for now). Altogether we used six different hops: Simcoe, Mosaic, Columbus, Riwaka, Columbus Cryo, and Strata Cryo. The point of this was to fold in hops with different levels of intensity and harvest windows to give you a beer that is loud with aroma but still fits under the umbrella of modern WCIPA. And let us tell you these hops HOWL, with bold flavors of candied peach and ruby red grapefruit with a hint of pine and cannabis. When you’re alone in the desert, what’s your call?

#WestCoastWednesday. Solid, well balanced westie with good mouthfeel; medium hoppiness; a citrusy/piney/dank/malty flavor and a slightly lingering, resiny aftertaste. Nice aroma too. Very quaffable indeed.
