Taster at brewery. Clear pale golden, spotty head. Fruity, resinous aroma. Taste is a bit of citrus peel and hop resin throwdown with some floral notes added for good measure.

Slightly hazy, deep copper color. Laving galore. Nose is fruity. Finish is good and nice bitter finish that changes along the palate. Good beer in my opinion.

With one foot in Germany and the other in Australia, Versailles Brewing chooses newfound hops from these countries for their flagship, New England styled IPA.

Reasonably hazy to the eye, the golden Munich Wallaby builds a firm white cap while wafting about the nose with tangy under ripened citrus, herb and green tropical fruit. Its tantalizing perfume precedes a taste of crisp cereal sweetness with hints of shortbread and honeysuckle.

As the malt starts to take a backseat, the middle palate opens up to the hops. Bright with orange, lemon, lime and white grapefruit, the beer's younger and greener influences blend into a peppery and floral bitterness for balance. Trending tropical as the session rolls along, a sense of passionfruit, papaya and green mangos keep the session varying, racy and radiant.

Medium bodied and friendly with its bitterness, the semi-smooth textures finish malty dry while seeming spicier, hoppier and more bitter in finish than is common for hazy IPA, but isn't quite as intimidating as west coast IPA either.
