Highly transparent brownish-red with a thin almost non existent head.

Aroma is earthy hops with slight sarsaparilla and dry cacao. It takes a long time to get these three notes with severe agitation.

Flavor is slightly sweet with hints of horehound candy and medium brown malt. Earthy hops on the finish.

The mouthfeel is this beer's biggest downfall. Very close to water. Moderate carbonation, moderate hop resin cling which is an oddity.

Overall this beer is far too thin to be called a porter, and while the slick semi-sweetness is pleasing to the palate overall, it cannot be classified as anything more than a light brown ale. A swing and a miss.
