This special beer was brewed with our guest brewers, Joe and Patrick. They shared the experience of developing this recipe to brewing, to kegging the finished product and finally naming it. The Dirty Cohorts Brown is a mild, yet complex and malty beer with a nice nutty background. But don't worry, no nuts were harmed in the making of this beer.

Pours a light chestnut brown with a grey fingernail of head.

Aroma leans hoppy with some heavy floral notes and very slight cacao.

Flavor brings floral hops, some dry cacao, and slight grassy bitterness with a touch of dry nuttiness. Pine/grass finishes it out with lingering resins and hop oils. I'd concede that this is a balanced beer but when you're talking brown ales, this one is far too bitter, even for a "balanced" brown ale.

Feel is thin, like carbonated water, and the resins stick to the palate like a brown IPA. Finish clings far too long.

Overall this brewery seems to make a habit of missing style examples. This was an easy refuse for me after a few sips and is, as usual for this brewery, a foul ball style-wise.
