Covert Artisan Caruba La Tarta Fruited Sour, 5% ABV. Pours moderately thick and hazy pale yellow with no head. Nose is sour and faint vague fruit. Taste is sourness, and then no other flavor until the faint banana and graham aftertaste. Couldn't detect the other add-junks; passion fruit, coconut, or marshmallow. Decent mouthfeel, overall very good. This was a bit disappointing, as if they felt that a sour had to be so sour that it throws shade on the add-junks they bothered to put in there. If they tripled the banana, graham, and marshmallow, that would make it interesting.

6 oz brewery pour, $5

Banana milkshake color, no head

Aroma of sharp sour culture and Smarties, slight nanner

Flavor is sharp and twangy sour culture, softened only microscopically by distant suggestions of banana and creamed coconut.

Feel is tangy, sharp, acidic, no heat

Overall I prefer the pastry sours that still keep one foot within the sour realm -- but this had virtually no flavors outside of the actual sour culture. Definitely not what you'd expect. Was lackluster in nearly every aspect. Not recommended.
