I was a fan of this one.
But ... "Barter aged". After it was initially named "Bartel aged", I sent an edit request to moderators to be changed to "barrel". Apparently this was too difficult to accomplish. This site is full of incompetent idiots. Yep.
Blonde color, fingernail of head.
Huge barrel aroma, just massive. Oaky, bright, sort of floral, coming off like gin and juniper with sage. Clove-y Farmhouse aroma underneath. Sharp and pungent.
Flavor follows suit mostly. The barrel is a bit stiff and overabundant here, but I'd rather have it this way than the other way around. Juniper and sage, some hot alcohol, and herbal clove wrap this up. Semi-clean. Semi starchy.
Overall a very nice entry onto their board. This one was easily my favorite last night.
