This is my first tick of the elusive state of South Dakota. This one sounds really interesting. Pineapple and marshmallow are relatively normal adjuncts for the style, but throwing pistachio ice cream in the mix feels unhinged. Let's crack it open and see what it's all about
Pours a cloudy bright yellow with 3 fingers of billowing white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is surprisingly well balanced given the adjuncts utilized. I'm picking up on aromas of pineapple juice, dole whip, pistachio, milk chocolate, marshmallow, orange juice, lemon zest, and light doughy malt
It's more of the same in taste, but I'm perfectly fine with that. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting pineapple juice, lemon juice, vanilla, pistachio, orange juice, marshmallow, light milk chocolate, and doughy malt. The swallow brings notes of pineapple juice, lemon juice, bready malt, marshmallow, orange juice, vanilla ice cream, and pistachio
A medium full body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a pillowy beer. Finishes slightly sticky but it doesn't hurt the drinkability
A damn good first showing for the state of South Dakota. I've heard good things about this brewery and I'm impressed by this, I'll have to try more from them if it shows up on Tavour

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
