Dak, brown color. Nice, beige head. Toasted malt, dark fruits, and earthy notes in the aroma. Malty taste with strong roasted/hoppy bitterness in the end.

Excellent look on the pour. Very dark, nice head, solid lacing.
The aroma is a bit different from the usual dark Czech, but I know some of that is the yeast this brewer uses, which unites many of its brews quite well, and I happen to appreciate. Dark malts and caramel meld well here.
The brew skews sweet. Dark malts are welcome, but he caramel sweetness is a little strong. The flavors are a bit muted for the style.
Medium light and very drinkable.
I don't know if they did a decoction here, but the best of this style that I've had have used this technique to impart flavor without the booze. This one has a bit too much residual sweetness and not enough roast. Still decent.
