Covert Artisan Ales BA Bon Imperial Pastry Stout, 13% ABV. Five-ounce pour is oily black with a slight ring of bubbles. Nose is chocolate, bourbon, cinnamon, and vanilla. Taste follows, bourbon prominent, sweet but less than regular Bon. Decent mouthfeel if slightly under-carbonated. Overall world class. I'm rating it a tick behind regular Bon since the bourbon burn detracts from the pastry status a bit. I'd like to have them side-by-side.
