Feldschlösschen (now part of Carlsberg group) main product is a rather bland "blue collar"-type lager called "Original" ... recently they try to gain momentum by bringing some 'specialities' to the market, one of which is this "Oktober Festbeer" .... the intention is good, the execution a little less ... I am not sure this is a 'Märzen' in Bavarian sense, but it is far to heavy for a Pilsner, so I put it in the "Märzen" category ... this brew suffers from a very dominanting sour note, which makes it very unpleasant to drink ... not sure what it is, but I would hope the brewer would do better next year ...
