Appearance - Pours a warm orange amber with three fingers of foamy off-white head.
Smell - Juicy citrus hops and fruit (orange, lemon, grapefruit), pineapple, bready caramel malts, orange zest, touch of earthiness and leafiness from the hops.
Taste - Bitterness of floral and citrus hops (even a bit piney in some sips), citrus rind and pith, bready malts, caramel.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Sticky finish and a lingering bitterness on the palate.
Overall - I'm not sure I agree on this beer being an "absolute juice monster", as I get far more floral and pine compared to citrus/tropical fruits. It's a great quality American IPA, just not quite what the label reads.
