looks like they have a grapefruit hard seltzer by the same name, but this was on the menu as a sparkling ale when i was in, and it certainly isnt seltzer. blonde and a little haze, maybe some white wheat malt in this, very basic at its core, but its done with grapefruit, which seems pretty natural in it, pink and juicy with a little zesty bitterness but no sweetness at all, perhaps a hint of meyer lemon and tangerine in the mix too, light as can be, summery, and cleaner in fermentation than their regular blonde ale seemed to be, close to totally neutral. its refreshing to drink on, nice with spicy and fried food, and without so much grapefruit that it seems unnatural, which is a downfall for a lot of these. i think the flavor is a little brighter than the aroma, the grapefruit pops, even has a little acidity to it, lending to its authenticity. the grain has just a little body but is dry enough to stay light, again could be some wheat in it, and it finishes quick and clean. not a whole lot going on here, this is straightforward and easy drinking fruit beer, especially at this hyper low abv, more summery than wintery, but a good staple on their menu i can imagine. suits their food menu well, and has a little more intrigue than the blonde. solid, especially for a chain like this. their beers have generally been ahead of expectations in my experience...
