New York Beer Project - Victor Beer Hall

 

Massive 4 story tall taproom/ restaurant. 2 huge bars in 2 different rooms will seat over 50 people. Plenty of additional seating on 2 floors. Very crowded for a Wednesday night, loud and lively. 16 beers on tap, I had the Hawaiian Destination, and enjoyed it very much. Fast, efficient service. I also had the chicken chowder, a meal in a bowl, although a bit on the salty side, very reasonably priced and filling.

Huge integrated multi-story complex with a fabulous restaurant and fabulous food, huge diverse high quality beer list, and onsite brew house that produces some of the smaller batch size recipes vs those produced by their mother ship brew house in Lockport NY. Loads of fun!

 

This place felt like I was in NYC by having a beautiful inside decor and ambiance with very big chandeliers costing 20,000 a piece (says the bartender). My friend and I went on a Monday and there was a 45min wait for a table which was shocking. This place was packed to the max I can’t get over how beautiful this place was. Their beer was OK nothing that really wowed me but nothing that was bad either. Beer needs improvement but, everything else about this brewery/experience was superb. The staff was all very friendly and knowledgeable. Their food was amazing; I had their lobster mac and cheese and it was incredible! The food was pricey but based on the taste and presentation it was well worth the price. Great place and great experience however, it definitely felt like more of an upscale restaurant than a brewery. I’ll give them some time to improve their beer then I will happily re-visit.
