Attractive reddish-brown pour underneath a fluffy, off-white, lacing-leaving head.
Wonderful malt forward aromas along with brown sugar, cocoa, and nuttiness. Earthy.
Smooth, medium mouthfeel.
The flavor is sweet and malty with a notable cocoa character and a balanced finish. As far as Brown Ales goes, this is very true to the style.
