Pale straw with an iridescent haze and a big, fluffy white head. The head holds one inch for a few minutes before dropping to a veil and leaving a webbing of lace on the Keowee pint glass.
This beer smells dusty with a light to faint coriander spice. Lemon is also faint and there is not much going on.
There is a good balance of sweet and bitter with a hint of sourness. While there is no banana, there is a hint of clove. Crackers and Cool Whip are more pronounced. The finish is mild and lingering.
A light body and soft texture with light carbonation. Alcohol is as expected.
Golden Corner certainly qualifies as a lawnmower beer. It is the second beer I have had from this brewer and, similarly, the second that seems to be a different style than as advertised. I would consider this to be an American Lager and, as such, it is well done. While I don't know if it is actually a Lager, it is far from what I would expect of a Wheat beer.
