Superposition is an unfiltered DIPA brewed with flaked oats, malted and unmalted wheat. Fermented with Conan, the legendary Vermont ale strain, and double dry hopped with Idaho 7.
Aromatics of saturn peach, tangerine, creamsicle, guava, charentais melon and candied ginger. Silky smooth mouthfeel with cushy carbonation and a restrained bittering charge. Classic piƱa colada emerges as Superposition warms in the glass.
1st Canning: April 2019
2nd Canning: July 2019

16 oz can from Homebrewstuff. Dark orange pour, fine head, patchy. Aroma is citrus with the Idaho 7 adding some stone feuit notes. Taste features earthy, lush herbal flavors, along with the citrus. Thick consistency, small lingering bite.

This beer was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a fairly murky woody burnt orange color capped by a mostly lingering foamy eggshell white head. Boy, it took some time before dissipating but it eventually did. Once it did, some messy lace caked itself in one thin ring, to gently subside into small strings.
The aroma seemed shaped around orange creamsicle characters slowly showing some sweet grassy hops and a touch of juniper needle bitterness. Guava is there but extremely faint.
The flavor leads with the orange creamsicle juicy pulpy sweetness, ever so slight bitterness by some juniper needles (but so really far underneath). Some aftertaste of orange creamsicle.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Nice low key carbonation with a super smooth finish (juniper needles and orange creamsicle).
Overall, yeah, I definitely dig this one more than the last one I had by them.

Pours orange. Smells citrusy/fruity, with hops. Slightly strong carbonation. Tastes citrusy, quite sweet. Overall pretty good, but not great.

Good but too sweet. Lots of sugar sweetness that becomes cloying and a bit fatiguing. Good flavor profile and pretty smooth. Definitely get a spiciness in the finish that lingers. I am sure a lot will like this brew as it is well made but it is just too sweet for my taste.

Completely agree with excellent review by dbrauneis .
Very enjoyable well crafted brew. Only additional note is I found my can seemed a bit more orange forward than stated in his review.

A: Pours a murky bright golden orange in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate peach + apricot + golden yellow + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy creamy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of medium thick film covering a little more than 50% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy tropical/mango, tropical/guava, citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, and herbal hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + oat + wheat malts with a light amount of lactose-like sweetness and a hint of vanilla.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + oat + wheat malts with a light amount of lactose-like sweetness. That is followed by a light flavor of vanilla. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of juicy tropical/mango, tropical/guava, citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, and herbal hops which impart a hint of bitterness and a moderate amount of lingering tropical hop flavors.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth with a light amount of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol, a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel, and just enough sweetness to not be cloying. Enjoyable with a very pleasant hop profile.
