Levitate is a botanical sour ale with pineapple, turmeric, lemongrass and makrut lime leaf.
Pours bright ocher. Opens with earthy aromas of turmeric countered by tropical fruit and citrus tones. Lively and delicately tart with notes of makrut lime, yellow curry and fruit loops. Finishes clean, dry and crisp.
Brewed with pilsner malt, unmalted wheat, flaked and malted oats. Dry hopped with Motueka pellets and Mosaic lupulin powder.
Store cold and Levitate will age gracefully for months.
Canned September 2019

Pours a pale golden color with light haze and a thin layer of fizzy soda bubbles. No lasting head or lacing.
Aroma is earthy and herbal, the lemongrass and turmeric add some interesting character to the lime and pineapple acidity. The dry-hopping still comes through nicely too.
Quenching and tart with unique flavors from the added herbs & spices. Lemon lime citrus, dry finish. Light and refreshing, makes a great apertif.

A: The beer is somewhat hazy pale yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly settled down, leaving lots of specks of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass. The head eventually completely faded away.
S: Moderate aromas of limes and Kaffir lime leaf are present in the nose along with hints of pineapples.
T: The taste follows the smell and is rather sour, having moderately strong flavors of lime and Kaffir lime leaf with hints of lemongrass.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a pleasant sour to drink, particularly if you like limes. It wasn't all that sour or tart and had some refreshing qualities.
Serving type: can
