A: Pours a dark brown, nearly black color. With ruby highlights around the edges. A small beige head forms, and leaves some lace behind.
S: Roasted malts is a little more up front that I would want. Coffee, and baked bread in the mix as well. A nice enough malty aroma.
T: All malts up front, and again a bit more roasted than I would like. Coffee, baked bread again. Some sweetness. Though a light lingering earthy bitterness helps dry and balance everything out.
M/O: A medium body that is crisp, clean and dry. I can come back to this easily.
For my personal tastes, the roast is just a bit much. Though all in all, a very nice dark lager. I'll be looking for this more often when I visit the brewery.
