The next iteration of our Park Pale series highlights a new-ish american hop that isn't going anywhere for a very long time: Citra. First released in 2008, Citra has gone from one of the hot new hops to a craft beer staple, finding a home in an array of beer styles. It is aptly named, giving off aromas and flavors of grapefruit, lime, peach; and due to it's parentage coming partially from noble european hops a hint of smooth floral throughout. Cheers!

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden/yellow color. A one finger white head forms with good retention and plenty of lace left behind.
S: A simple but enjoyable aroma. Citrus rind, orange and lemon mostly. Some passion fruit and melon as well.
T: Like the nose, citrus, orange, lemon and some melon fruit flavors. Slightly grainy malts, and some sweetness. Just a bit of bitterness lingering.
M/O: A medium body. Crisp carbonation at first. Though becomes a bit more syrupy and sweet, even the light bitterness doesn't seem to counteract the sweetness. Still, and enjoyable Pale Ale to drink. I can come back to this with ease.
Balance the sweetness just a bit more, and this is an incredible Pale Ale. As is, its just really good. So no issues from me. Another good offering from this brewery that I will get again.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is good, as is lacing. Nice, light, juicy aroma. Nice, grapefruity taste. A little lemony and grainy at the end. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Tasty for sure.
