Aromas of toasted bread and fig, with a rich, malty body that is dominated by a pretzel-like breadiness. Complemented by some subtle notes of toffee and dates. On the drier side but rich and robust - a great warming lager for Houston's "winter".

Deep copper / bronze pour, head is tan but leaves quickly. Nose is roasted malt.
Taste is caramel, well roasted malt, toast, light woodiness, floral notes. Mouthfeel is fairly full and coats the tongue with a carmelized sweetness.
Headed in the direction of a bock, quite good.
