Poured from the can into a stange glass.
Quite an impressive looking brew. Bright but deep copper body with good clarity, hues of light chestnut, to bronze orange all around. Khaki very nice controlled but frothy big head, bubbly rich, with a little bit of retention. Good amounts of very fine and slow rising carbonation. Real beautiful looking alt.
Nose is simple. Aroma hits of dry grain and maybe a touch of phenolic clove. There's more of a simple nutty dryness to this typical of an alt which is pleasant. Pretty basic but good.
Palate makes some nice but also interesting surprises. Simple good malt backbone, delivers some nutty flavor and clean fruitiness. However, there's a very good amount of biting astringent hop in this particularly on the finish. Quite long lasting as well, and a bit jarring at times. Faint caramel just barely cuts in with some sweetness.
There's a pretty tasty alt in here, with some minor faults. Feels like the beer could be exceptionally better than it is though, but still an enjoyable brew.

Clear copper. Thin white head. Spotty lace
Lots of malt in the aroma. A bit of caramel and dark fruit. Some spicy hops.
Rich malty flavor. Dry, spicy hops. A bit of caramel and dark fruit.
Dry, full bodied but crisp. Could use a little more carbonation.
I really dig it as an everyday drinker.
