Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Very small sized head for an IPA. Makes barely a finger of proper colored and fine creamy off white foam, with at least some staying power on a simple topped puck. Body color is hazy, not very turbid but a simple nice light orange grapefruit and not turbid it all. All things considered where did the head go?
Aroma is at least large and hoppy. Sticky notes of earth and dankness, following a bit of chalky sensations though as well in the mix. Heavily earthy and pungent, not a fruit bomb by any means.
Palate is in the right place and heart at least. Slightly juiced body, with definitely now more fruit hop tones in the mix. Mid palate hits with tropical mango, and some big orange juice like flavors. Slightly creamy palate but it's also quite a bit wet and sort of flattened, which may explain the lack of carbonation and head creation thinking back. Aftertaste has a good wintergreen mix and the earthy notes certainly come out on the finish with a spicy like bent.
Good tasting IPA with a few things that need improvement.
