Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy amber color with a 1 inch head. Smell is fruity, berries stand out. Taste is dank, melons, berries, light pine, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a bit unusual for the style, but a solid beer.

Copper with a slight chill haze. Finger of slightly off-white foam, ok retention, nice lace.
Tropical fruit and earl grey tea aromas
Tastes like the smell with a bit more citrus, some caramel malt
Medium bodied with low carbonation
Not one of my favorite versions of this beer.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Dark amber and fairly clear body, with a hint of light orange but leans heavily to classic amber brown colors with real nice clarity. Some faint rising carbonation, reaching to a very light khaki colored fine three finger head with really good retention. Sits with real nice pill and ring lacing to compliment a great look.

Nice solid hop aroma. Mix of dank earthy tones, and some touches of tropical pungent like fruit in the background. Spicy and sweet touch to the malt base hinting a little bit of toasty caramel and burnt sugar as well for balance.

Palate stays the course. Solid malt backbone, with touches of fairly thick sugars in flavor for balance. It is the first noticeable thing on the palate but the hop profile easily makes its presence. Earthy and pungency takes a back seat compared to the nose, as there is more fruit and juicy to gumdrop like flavors that hit real nicely. Finish gets a little more pine to astringent, but more of that fruity character with sweet malt acts as a nullifier and balances things to right the ship. There's a unique juicy pungency to this beer that is very enjoyable.

Always dug Quantum shift from these guys, this is a very solid variation.

Vol 10 has Idaho 7, Columbus, and Meridian hops (new cans show the volume # and the hops used)

Pale amber, almost orange color. Somewhat hazy. Pours a nice tightly bubbled white head with good retention.

Big pungent hop aroma smelling volatile and fruity (pineapple?) . A bit sweet.

Tropical fruit hop flavors up front, slightly sweet between malt and hop flavors, some pine hop flavors as well, turns progressively earthy and has a gentle hop bitterness in the finish with an earthy hop flavor

Medium body and medium plus carbonation. No astringency or warming.

Hop flavors are personal preference. Not my most favorite of the Quantum Shift variants. But well made with a nice balance of hop aroma and flavor and back end bitterness.
