Amber color, reasonably good clarity. Pours a moderate sized white head, creamy and lingering.
Big dank hop aroma, nice mix of fruit and pine. Smells rich and rounded.
Good hop flavors up front with some complexity, but also a good hit of malt up front as well. Turns more earth/pine flavored with an assertive bitter finish, and the bitterness lingers in the finish.
Medium body and carbonation, no astringency but the hops do work over the tongue.
A more aggressive, old school IPA than I remember past versions of QS. Not a soft, fruity IPA - this one has some bite.
