Deep golden color, a bit hazy. Pours a big white head, creamy and long lasting.
Rich fruity hop nose with some mango - impressed that the aroma gets through the head. Fruity and a bit sweet smelling as it warms.
Nice complex hop flavor up front with the tropical fruit noted in aroma, hops and malt make it gently sweet early, but with a fairly assertive backend bitterness. Finishes slightly fruity but also with a somewhat earthy bitterness. Has a long finish. I think I like the El Dorado hops (is a single hop beer).
Medium body and medium-plus carbonation. Carbonation probably amps up the perception of bitterness.
Didn't know what to expect with this one, but glad I tracked it down. A pretty classic APA but with a modern hop twist.

Hazy orange, white head, ok retention and lace
Pear, maraschino cherry, herbal hops, toasty malt underneath
Rich toasty malt, pear, dark stone fruit hops
Medium-light body, good carbonation
I dig it. However, not sure why they went with Marris Otter for the base malt when Golden Promise was right there.
