Clear garnet, nice off-white head, good retention, spotty lace.
Deeply malty aroma. It pretty much smells like malt syrup.
Toasty and malty, a hint of caramel on the finish
Medium bodied, a little light on carbonation, very clean.
Really nice bock.

Deep amber color, brilliantly clear. Pours a good sized off-white head, creamy and lingering.

Rich toasty malt nose, quite sweet smelling. But no off aromas.

Flavor has the same malt character as the aroma, and it starts off malty and sweet. Clean and malty throughout, though the sweetness mellows a bit late. Maybe more doppelbock than bock in flavor - with a strong malty character. I wouldn't mind a few extra IBUs of hops balancing out the finish a little better.

Medium-plus body and medium carbonation. A rounded and smooth drinking beer.

A bit heavier on the malt side than I'd hoped, but a nice, clean lager malt bomb of a beer.
