Very dark color, pours a creamy tan head with good retention for a strongish beer.
Rich malty nose with some sweet plum character, and a slight hint of alcohol. Has a rich, slightly sweet aroma.
Has the rich maltiness of a doppelbock, but with a roasty kick. Intensely malty with a mix of caramel and coffee flavors. Roastiness helps tone down the sweetness, as does the carbonation. Overall a very clean tasting flavor profile, with a slight roastiness carrying into the finish.
Medium-full body, medium-high carbonation, and a bit of alcoholic warming.
Overall a pretty easy drinking, yet intense roasty dark lager.

Extremely dark brown to black with reddish highlights, dense khaki head, nice retention, excellent lace
Mild roast aroma with robust malt underneath
Big malt richness, not sure how to describe it. Basically like a Munich Dunkel but twice as big. Not sweet like a bock. Mild coffee as well.
Medium-heavy bodied. Medium-light carbonation. Very clean and dry.
Really really nice.
