Dry hopped with Zuper Saazer and Tettnang
Amerigo Vespucci unwittingly gave rise to lager by bringing a cold-tolerant Patagonian yeast came home to hybridize with Eurasian brewing yeast. We brewed Vespucci as a crisp classic German Pilsner with a decidely non-traditional small dry hop addition!

The haze in this beer seems to turn the light golden beer a bit more yellow. The white head didn't really build on an aggressive pour, but provides some nice lacing as I dig in. The nose resembles the head in that it isn't too forthcoming at first. As the beer warms, a bit of funkiness shows up - a mix of wet hay and cut grass.
Taste has a light malt sweetness to the opening. A bit of light cereal joins equally light herbal notes before the grass notes from the nose take over. Lively carbonation and a nice level of bitterness bring this beer to a close that prepares me for the next sip. Pretty straightforward pilsner that is built quite nicely for my palate.

Clear gold, white head, so-so retention, spotty lace
Spicy and herbal hops over sweet, bready malt aroma
Tastes like it smells. Crisp bitter finish
Light bodied and appropriately carbonated
Damn good pilsner.
