Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned May 5th 2026.
Beaming clear shiny brass yellow, with a large amount of controlled and champagne like rising carbonation. Head is soapy, with larger bubbles not so much thick. Bright white in color with still big retention as the big bubblees slowly pop with faint lacing.
Excellent aroma. Chewy sensing malt backbone with simple citrus notes and touches of dense bready malts. Slight herbal sweetness comes as well which makes a nice constrast on the hop angle. Very inviting nose.
Bold and rich palate. Very impressive first impression. Mid palate hits with rich malt but with and almost chamapagne texture and crisp dry light character. Hop citrus oils permeate at first, with excellent bitter herbs that slightly sweetness on the finish that takes off some edge. Sharp and crisp almost lager like as well which makes for a great feeling palate.
Real simple and elegantly created, excellent tasting IPA.

I had mot seen anything new from this brewer for a while so this was an easy pickup this afternoon at Sugarloaf Wine and Beer in Germantown. This does seem to give the full west coast experience: caramel, pine, citrus and a resin dosed aftertaste. Not overpowering in the finish, this is actually pretty easy drinking for the style. Definitely worth a shot for me.

Mostly clear yellow body with a large, rocky, eggshell white head that left spotty lacing. Nuanced, hop focused aroma built around a basic citrus foundation. Appealing taste; a strong hop base well supported and balanced by the slightly sweet malt backbone. Moderately bitter, nicely carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel. Checks all the right boxes for a satisfying example of the style.

Light amber with some chill haze, big white head, great retention and lacing
Big hop aroma of mango, grapefruit, and a bit of dank
Grapefruit hop flavor with some toasty/sweet malt, clean bitter finish
Medium bodied and appropriately carbonated
Tastes like an IPA from 15 years ago with the volume turned up on hop aroma and flavor
