From my visit to the brew pub on 6/5/09. Pours a cola like brown color with a minimal off-white head that dissipated into a very light ring. A malty sweet aroma, some red wine characteristics and a bit meaty. The taste was of a light roasted malt, charred meat, and smoke; some vinous characteristics as well. A light to moderate body, probably a bit thin for a bock, fairly soft carbonation; finishes malt sweet. This was a real nice bock, good meaty malt flavor. Recommended.

Dark brown with reddish orange highlights. A frothy beige head rises up an inch high and lingers long, slowly receding as the glass is drained.
Aroma of toasted malt and caramel.
Well-balanced flavors of dark malt, soft caramel, toffee and cocoa. Really nice malty goodness in just the right amount. Doesn't overdo it. Mild hop bitterness in the finish.
Smooth and even mouthfeel, slightly creamy, with a bit of a tingly finish. Highly drinkable, great beer, well-done representation of the style.
