I was not a fan of the regular naughty nurse beer but this IPA was different and had a much better flavor in my opinion. It was to me, a familiar run of the mill local IPA taste ive had before. Which is fine, but nothing special. Definitely a step up from their other stuff in my opinion.

A very well balanced ipa with aroma and citrus/fruity hop flavors. I expected this to just be hopped up take on the flagship Naughty Nurse Amber Ale, but it is much more than that. Been drinking at the brewery for a few weeks and just purchased the bottles over the weekend. Nice to see this beer in the local retail space.

Bottle. This beer did not smell or taste like an IPA. It had a green label. I guess this used to be the name for their Bitter? The smell was muted. The flavor was more or less the same. More malty than anything else. I guess there some cardboardy hoppiness there. This was not good.

Growler from the brewery. This IPA is a hoppier version of their Naughty Nurse Amber.
Smell is not that prominent, but a nice blend of fruity/piney hops and caramel malts. Tastes much more hoppy and bitter than the amber, with some nice pine resin flavor and a solid malt base with some caramel sweetness. A bit juicy and resiny viscous feel with lingering bitterness and a smooth finish. Nice beer, glad to have it fresh from the brewery!

A: crystal clear; copper in color; 1 finger ivory head that receded to a thin collar; very nice lacing;

S: pine resin with a hint of tropical fruit and caramel behind it;

T: an odd flavor; can't put my finger on it, but it's not a flavor I want or expect in an IPA; maybe it's a combination of lemon and leather; a touch of citrus on the finish;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O:other than the flavor, this is a really nice IPA;

Bottle poured into glass, purchased locally.
L- medium amber color, short head, medium opacity
S- lemon peel, caramel malts
T- a unique flavor that is very different from the smell: sharp and crisp malts on the tongue that transition to red fruit/fruity pebbles. Hops are mild for IPA but add a slight bitterness.
F- medium body

O- An interesting IPA, it grew on me towards the end of the glass. The smell and taste are very separate which adds a unique dimension to drinking this beer. The taste is moderately complex in terms of transition from start to finish, but there aren't many unique notes in there. Overall it's an interesting take on an IPA but a bit on the malty side to be a regular drinker for me.
