Served in a pint glass. Medium black color with a nice tan head. Smell was quite sweet. Coffee and chocolate dominate the nose with some underlying malts showing through as well. Taste is mostly malty, kind of fooling the nose, with some coffee and espresso hints popping up from time to time. Mouthfeel was medium-light with a good soft carbonation rolling in. I would only do a pint of this stuff because it seems that everytime you sip this is becomes sweeter and sweeter. Nice beer overall.

Had this brew on tap at City steam last nite. Was excited to try the style as I really enjoy it.
The beer arrives in an english pint glass and is pitch black with a thin edge layer of beige head ringing the glass. Aroma is deep rich dark chocolate with espresso and roasted malt scents as well.
The first sip reveals a velvety smooth body with mild gentle carbonation rolling right along through the swallow. Flavor is all malt with sweet brown sugar and chocolate intertwining with some coffee notes. The finish is slightly sweet and leaves a bit of a coating on my tongue. A very nice beer for sure!
