A - Deep gold, thick yellowish head, mega lacing, continuous streams of bubbles.
S - Floral, spicy hops, faint cinnamon aromas.
T - Sweet light grapefruit flavors. Malts and juicy hops together provide a seemless even flavor. This beer got Grapefruit, Juicyfruit running through my head.
M - Medium, even, and smooth bodied, with slight lingering bitterness.
D - Sweet not cloying, light, and balanced. Very drinkable.

sampled a pint today...
clear-filtered and golden yellow in appearance with a taut ring of beer-wake. stray bubbles working their way efficiently towards the surface in overcrowded highway streams. thin strands of lacing seem to shape into arches. very clean, floral hop aroma with big, sweet citrus. it is really impossible to smell this beer without taking a sip- it's got that IPA magic for sure. flavor also brings a slight bite of green apple tartness here and the trademarked city steam must/funk. underlying lager nuttiness adds body and character, woody and earthy finish and dryness. immediate fresh hop bitterness escalates to punishing levels before leaving chalky, oily hop mouthcoat. light though, and disappears into my belly at a rapid rate. not the biggest fan of city steam ipa's, yet the consumability and cleanliness of such a big, flavorful beer make this one shine.
city steam here makes up for standard mediocrity with glorious, drinkable excess. one of the few passes i've granted to overdoneness (see hop meadow). good job.
