A - Deep opaque copper, thick two-finger head fades quickly to swirls of wispy foam, leaving light oily lacing.
S - Sweet malt & fruity apple skin esters.
T - Cidery, with cherry and grape notes. Sweet and slightly vineous.
M - Medium bodied. Mouthfeel turns from slightly oily to sticky.
D - Smooth & drinkable, fairly sweet so only one for me!

Pours a slightly murky deep brown/amber with a 3/4 inch caramel head that recedes to a thin lacing.
The nose is mildly reminiscent of apple cider.
Taste is very interesting for a Barley Wine. The first sip is very much a mild, natural apple-cider flavor, with notes of malt & caramel lurking in the background. From there it transitions over to a phenomenal caramel aftertaste, all the while it has a lurking alcohol warmth to remind you this isn't spiced apple cider.
Mouthfeel is smooth, slightly creamy, but not slick or overly aggressive.
Easy, but not too easy, to drink for 9%.
I'm impressed. Thus far, my favorite offering from City Steam.
