Sorry, I must be going - my date is here. Beth, Amy, Linda Lou, this one's for you.
It had a wispy head upon arrival, frankly not even worth mentioning. The nose had an interesting admixture of sweetness and smoke. My server warned me that some people find it to be too smoky, but it was fine by me. There was NE-quality clarity in this deep-amber colored beer. The mouthfeel was somewhat light with a good sweetness on the tongue. The finish was where the peat smoke really asserted itself. Sweet Lebanon Bologna, anyone?

Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a clear amber color, with very little head on it. It does leave some lacing down the glass. The aroma is decent enough, with mainly caramel malt to the nose. Hints of some peaty smokiness also. Mainly a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor, but finished with peaty taste on top. A hint of dryness in the finish also. Nice.
