Served in a pint glass and consumed alongside my bacon and bleu cheese burger.
A: Poured a dark brown, almost black because of the opaqueness, with not much head and decent lacing.
S: Not that impressive but can smell a little clove and surprisingly a coffee aroma too.
T: Chocolately start with roasted malts and a little vanilla to finish.
D: The best part about this beer. Light-bodied, goes down smoothly with the protein.
Overall, this beer is more like a stout than a weizen, which is probably why I liked it.

As described by the brewpub - A medium bodied, slight chocolate tasting DUNKEL. 12 degrees Plato.
While waiting in the blizzard for my train, I decided to have another beer.
Poured a dark brown with not much light seeping in and a little bit of head. Some moderate lacing. Nose is mostly roasted barley and hints of chocolate/coffee. Taste follows with a decidedly stout-like flavor. Basically similar to a stout but not as thick.
