This is a retro (mid 90s) IPA according to the brewery propoganda. brewed with a heavy dose of cascade hops.
I am sampling in a pint glass that arrives with a thin eggshell white head that fades to a big island of thin bubbles. Color is clear chestnut. Aroma is big citrus hops as expected with grapefruit dominant but hints of grass in background. First sip reveals an average body with average carbonation that is slightly tingly. Flavor hints of caramel briefly and rolls quickly to citrus notes and a general hop bite on the finish. No real ABV hints on the drinking. Another very smooth drinkable beer from City Steam.
