Reviewed on 9/30/08. On tap at City Steam. Pours an amber/orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrusy, piney, and grassy hops and mostly dominated by bitter grassy hops. Flavor of a nice slight bitterness with a good sweet malt backbone. Delicious!

To me this was one of the more drinkable IPA's that CitySteam has put out in a while. Looking back I can say that my friends and I spent much more time at CS while Dizzy was on tap than usuall, so that is a testament in my opinion.
I was lucky to have a few pints the day they released it, and got a growler as it ran out.

First impression is of a nice looking beer.
the head is resilliant and firm. can give you that "got milk" feel. the color is a little dark for an IPA, but an attractive slightly amber color.

A little citrus right away as you get your nose into that head, but as the beer sat you don't notice the citrus at all any more.

This is the kind of beer you can drink all day, or at least in many situations. I usually would have 1-2 beers with lunch, but for some reason 3 Dizzys would come with my burger. some days it was hard to go back to work.

Tasted many times on tap by pint and 22oz glass. also by pint from the growler.

Copper colored with a frothy, thick beige head that lingers long and leaves sheets of lace up the insides of the glass.

Aroma of biscuity malt and understated hops, well balanced.

Flavors of juicy hops upfront, both citrus and floral, a little tingly, morphs to spruce and orange rind, good caramel malt balance riding along. Tangerine and grapefuit lingers, with faint hints of pine.

Full and rich mouthfeel, accented with citrus sparkles on the tongue. Highly drinkable, this one is a treat. Ron says it's mellowed out a bit, but I can't imagine this one being even better. Get some before it's gone.
