Dopple ? Dunkle ? Weizen...Belgian Strong Dark ?
Yes, and more.
A deep dark sinister looking brew served in a snifter...nice little head and a great aroma of dried fruit, alcohol and wheat.
Flavor is pretty complex...raisons, prunes, wheaty malt, some alcohol, hints of citrus fruits , cola, ...sassafras ?....lots more....quite the the tasty brew.
Medium-full body and moderate carbonation.
A nice sipper for sure. I wanted more....but my girlfriend was having a good time with her snifter and handed me the keys.

Poured from tap at City Steam Brewery Cafe, this one is served in a brandy glass. A nice opaque black color, minimal size head (probably because of the glass it is served in), this one is described as a DOPPLEDUNKELDOUBLEWEIZEN, try to say that 5 times in a row. Smell was of some sweet coriander, dark fruit (plum) and some wheat. This brew has a nice malt presence, again some dark fruit come through in the taste, a bit of oak/wood elements, and some sweet malt. Mouthfeel is a bit wet for this one, but it's still enjoyable. Overall, defintley recommended if you stop by City Steam.
