Served on-tap in a 12-ounce snifter glass at City Steam Brewery Cafe in Hartford, Conn.
A: Dark, clean golden amber beneath a thin, foamy veil of carbonation that left some streaky, sudsy lace.
S: Loads of fruity esters, spicy Belgian yeast and milled, sugary grains. Herbal and peppery hops leap out of the citrus and grassy aroma.
T: Sweet, juicy malts give off buttery cracker notes to add to the herbal, grassy hop flavors. Citrusy and fruity with hints of apple, pear and peach. A complex, spicy and boozy finish carries a distinct Belgian yeast strain flavor, musty and sharp with a hint of acidity in the aftertaste.
M: Clean, sharp and medium-full bodied with a spicy, alcoholic sting in the finish.
O: A pretty traditional Belgian pale with more juicy, Americanized hops and malt bill. Stronger than the ABV listed here, but drinks much lighter than it boasts. An easy, spicy, sweet and fruity treat to down and really get into the aroma.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. The obvious winner of the product line tonight. It seems almost everyone is doing this style now. Three yeats. Grapefruit colour, some lace. Candi sugar. Interesting complexity and balance between the hops and the yeast. Average mouthfeel from Some creaminess from the yeast.
