i can see the appeal of a nice citrus forward new england ipa like this, but like so many of its contemporaries, it is bitey, green, and over hopped, which really hurts its drinkability and makes it a little harsh when it warms, i certainly wouldnt want more than one of them, but there are fiends for this sort of thing now, so everyone is making these kinds of mine is bigger than yours mistakes. i like the lemon character of the hops in here, and the natural citrus element does cut the starchy grain heft down a bit which is nice, but i get as much of the vegetal matter as i do the sexy parts of the hops in the flavor, and it sits long on the tongue after each sip. not bad though, dont mean to bash it, its nice and fresh and i like the hop varietals and all the dry cereal body it has, but it just is in need of some fine tuning, a little scaling back perhaps. sometimes less can be more, and this would do well to heed that next brew day. subtle passion fruit, pine, and cantaloupe as it finishes which is nice, and fine carbonation making it feel kind of sudsy. fine beer, especially with popularity in mind, but it was one of my least favorite of the beers we had here at roadmap.
