Fireson Brewing

Aruba’s only craft brewery. Located near the Holiday Inn, this was a pleasant surprise to stumble across. However when I went there were only 3 beers on tap and all were a form of ipa (hazy, neipa, etc). I can’t imagine how expensive it must be to ship ingredients and brew in aruba so it was a treat to find something other than Balashi on the island.

Aruba’s first craft brewery is well worth a visit or two; it has a cool modern aesthetic with a bar top, tables, a few TV’s and fantastic beer. When visiting the island, you will only find cheap adjunct lagers at all the resorts and bars, this is not the case at Fireson. If you enjoy tropical fruited NEIPA’s or roasty stouts then you’ll fit right in. The owner, Tony, is a fantastic brewer and all-around great guy to chat beer with. His tap selection will fluctuate between 2-4 beers and don’t be sad if a keg blows during your stay because this happened to us. Do to the nano-system he’s operating, a single barrel batches is all you get. The beer styles were on point, the flavors were bold and it’s a great place to visit.

They only had one of their beers on draft, a Blonde Ale with raspberry. (Not my style) They had one other beer on draft, Ballast Point Sculpin, $10 for 12 oz.) We may go back on Tuesday, they are going to have their DIPA on draft. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is very clean and new. They had 5 other craft beers. We ordered Southern Tier 2XIPA (bottle) and Salt Life Lager. (Can) $7 for 12 oz. Craft beers. They open at 5:00pm everyday, but closed on Sunday.
