Brasserie Beauregard 'Choco Hazelnut Imperial' @ 10.3% , served from a 355 ml can (1of 3 special edition)
A-pour is cola brown , with hints of ruby red , to a near black in the glass with a small tan head , dissipating into a fine spotty lace ring along the tulip
S-Bourbon BA ,
T-Bourbon dominates , yet smooth , chocolate/hazelnut almost non existent until the swallow
MF-ok carbonation , big full body , warming
Ov-best of three special edition's

1 year old bottle.
A: Pours a very dark brown / black color with a mocha colored head. Head is pretty creamy with a decent amount of retention. Lacing is just ok.
S: Medium intensity smell. You get the obvious hazelnuts and light milk chocolate notes. Some musk from the hazelnuts. Decent amount of prunes and dried raisins.
T: Strong hazelnuts, milk chocolate and powdered cocoa are the main notes. Also, strong prunes, figs and dried raisins. Vanilla, oak tannins and pepper from the bourbon aging. Truly wonderful.
M: Medium to heavy, quite sticky and creamy. Carbonation is a bit too strong for my taste.'
O: This is truly a wonderful beer with this age. I'm not sure how it is originally but I'm a big fan of this beer with age.
