Poured from a can at fridge temp. It pours an opaque orange/brown with a little bit of tan head. The nose is great - it's immediately clear that this is an American barleywine. Hoppy bitterness comes through first, but is then followed by notes of honey, apricots, plums, and a bit of mango.

The taste is incredibly nice. It's not even close to being as hoppy as a Bigfoot, but it definitely has some citrus peel bitterness to it. Equally dominant are notes of toffee, leather, plums, apricots, pear, honey, and an earthy note. It's quite dry. The ABV is not really detectable on the taste. Very easy to drink for sure.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied and the aftertaste is grapefruit peel and some stone fruit. Great beer that I'm glad I got to try. I would definitely pick up another if I saw one.
