When the warm weather finally makes its way back to the north, it's cause for celebration. That's why brewed this crisp, refreshing take on a traditional German lager. Whether you just got the dock in the water or the (sic) watched the last bit of snow melt off your front porch, this easy drinker is the perfect way to enhance the experience.
Light bodied & highly carbonated golden beer. A refreshing crisp taste is complemented by a hint of toasted crackers.

A malt forward pilsner with a wonderful bready/cracker like sweetness from the malt. Clean drinking, light side of medium bodied. Light gold in color....pretty good clarity....
There is a hint of a light twang of spicy hoppiness on the aroma and the taste but very much in the background with the malt front and center with this one.
I find this quite enjoyable but perhaps more along the lines of a Helles lager. Doesn't bring the hop profile I'd expect in a German pils...perhaps a Boehemian pils...

Cans exploded all over after opening, and they had been resting, dunno what's going on there. Mostly bought this because of the name. Unlike most beers of this kind, it actually tastes BETTER as it warms! And that alone makes it better than 90% of craft pilsners on the shelf

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy (80% clarity) light golden yellow color with a massive white pillowy head. SRM of 5. (4.50)
Aroma: Strong aromas of pale malts, cracker, bread, and yeast. Some lemon citrus underneath with some salted cracker notes on the finish.
Flavor: Strong flavors of paramount, lemon citrus, bread, malts. Some salty and cracker notes on the finish. Salty and mildly sweet.
Feel: Medium body, strong, carbonation, a soft and pillow mouth feel.
Compared to Fair State Pils 5/2024: Pours similar, stronger head. Similar aromas. More cracker and salted notes. Simlar lemon citrus. Less floral and bitter notes. Drier and cleaner overall.
Overall: First try at this and it has fantastic, althought limited, reviews on BeerAdvocate. Pours beautifully. Excellent aromas. Wonderful flavors of bread, lemon citrus, slightly salty. A pillowing mouthfeel. Drinks similar to a Czech Pale Lager. Very similar to Fair State, but less bitter. I thought this Drastic Measures German Lager is absolutely excellent and wish I had bought more of them. Side to side with Fair State, I'm not sure which of them I prefer. This beer could go places. (Rating: 4.31)

16 oz can mfrg date 1/2/24 into a pokal.
L: SRM 1-2 Pours straw yeasted light lemon pulp yellow with a thin white head that moves quickly to edge foam, good steady carbonation, random medium-light lacing.
S: Light bready malts, a suggestion of hay, distant fruit notes, gently earthy.
T: Citrus zest, lime, grapefruit, a touch of white grape skin, sweet & light caramel malts, pear, a distant herbal bread note, generally fruity, bright floral melon. It is gently tart. More breadiness emerges with warming and there is a gentle sweet linger.
F: Quite crisp and vibrant medium to medium-light bodied feel with a bright, fast, drying finish.
O: This is a colorful and floral tasting Lager with lofty tastes of citrus zests, light bready malts, and is dry. It is redolent of an unfiltered German Pils from Einbecker. It is refreshing and is excellent in its style.

Moderate gold hued body capped with a thick, frothy, sticky, white head; robust small-bubble carbonation action; small, sticky globs of foam speckle the glass. Soft, fruity sweetness on the nose; floral; fresh. Delicately mild sweetness to the taste with a touch of light cereal grain; moderate hop bitterness overall; clean. Medium body; soft and mildly velvety; dull sweetness and finishes with a deft softness on the palate.
Drastic Measures produced a real winner of a German-style pilsner. It brings balance and depth to the palate. A fine, easy drinking beer that hits all the style points with flair.
Beer temperature at pour: 55 °F; no canning data found on the can.
