On-tap at Kulturbrauerei Heidelberg, Heidelberg, Germany
A: The beer is slightly hazy amber caramel in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger and a half high off white head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of fruits and toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of toasted malts along with hints of spicy hops.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This bock has a nice body that is strong enough to be filling on a chilly night. The alcohol is very well hidden.
Serving type: on-tap

A brewery worth the trip. There were only three brews available the day we visited. The brews are designed for the masses so don't go expecting anything artisan or extra special. But that is not meant to imply a negative. The brews are good. Easy drinking, smooth, non-offensive. Everyday drinking brews that you will enjoy. The smell is subtle. The flavor balanced and slightly grainy with low hop finish--guess the IBU at 10-20ish. Just enough IBU for a very slight hoppiness in the aftertaste. You will love the place and the brews for lunch or after touring the beautiful city.
