Inspired by some of the red ales of the Pacific Northwest, we decided to make a malty-yet-hoppy red ale of our own! We paired pale malt, munich malt and crystal malt from Washington state with a ridiculous amount of iconic Centennial and Simcoe hops bursting with pine and citrus flavor. Skookum is only brewed while listening to Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains while wearing an appropriate amount of flannel.

Definitely could get the red ale but came off like it was married to an ipa. Bitterness came out first followed by some malt and citrus.
Interesting take on a red ale
