Poured from the can into a nonic(k) pint glass.
Frothy forming and very thick capped head, of real nice perfect white color. Fine to medium bubbles, lots of hang time in the head. Body color is opaque and a muted straw to dark lemon. Not quite turbid or swampy, but heading close to that appearance wise.
Aroma is a sharp and beautiful hop note. Big huge rush of tropical pineapple and mango like fruit on the nose. Lactose gives a hint of sweetness pushing the fruit to sweeter tones and a sense of milky and vanilla sensing flavor. This is very excellent hop fruit display right here, it's a bit one note dimensional but
exceptional.
Palate just hits the right spot. Easy drinking and a hint of creamy sensing body to give a bigger push of hinting flavor. Great mid palate tropical fruit note of pineapple just like the nose hints at. There's a nice sharp bitterness on the finish as well, that hints slightly herbal to pine, for excellent contrast. The sweetness is much more dialed down as well it seems.
This is a great pale ale. Flirts with IPA, but goes for excellent easy drinking and bold in the pocket tropical flavor goodness.
